UWS came top in Scotland for teaching quality in Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering in The Times Good University Guide 2020, and has over 100 years’ experience in training engineers. They offer vocationally-relevant courses which are designed around industry needs.

UWS offers MEng (Hons) / BEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering. This degree, which is delivered at the Paisley Campus, will equip you with the skills and training in demand by the aerospace sector. Designed in partnership with aerospace industry employers, this course includes visits to organisations such as Spirit AeroSystems, British Airways and Woodward.

A number of final year projects are also undertaken in collaboration with industry. The BEng (Hons) course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) under license from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council.

Highers: ABBB (114 UCAS Tariff points), including Maths & Physics, plus SQA National 5 English

BEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering

Highers: BBBC (102 UCAS Tariff points), including Maths (B), plus SQA National 5 Physics (B)
