These are the four aeronautical courses on offer at Ayrshire College and the qualifications you need to apply:

SVQ Performing Engineering Operations – Aeronautical

Three National 4s or equivalent preferably in English and Maths, with one other
relevant subject such as Physics, Practical Metalworking or Practical Woodworking
OR
A relevant NC course at SCQF Level 4 or equivalent

NC Aeronautical Engineering*

Four National 5s or equivalent including Maths and Physics
OR
A relevant NC course at SCQF Level 5 or equivalent

HNC Aircraft Engineering*

Two Highers, ideally in Maths and Physics, PLUS National 5 in English
OR
A relevant NC course at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent, such as Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering.

HND Aircraft Engineering

An HNC in Aircraft Engineering
